CARLOW v KILKENNY; NFL DIVISION FOUR.


CARLOW suffered another embarrassing defeat to Wicklow last week after their loss to Waterford seven days earlier.

Wins in those two games would have given Paul Bealin's side an outside chance of promotion going into this weekend's final round.

Bealin had his first game as Carlow manager against Kilkenny in the O'Byrne Cup The O'Byrne Cup is a Gaelic Athletic Association competition between teams from Leinster. The competition is named after Matt O'Byrne, a former Club Officer in Wicklow. The participants in the O'Byrne Cup are the twelve counties of Leinster and recently four further education  this year when the win wasn't as comfortable as expected.

It may be something similar here as Kilkenny bask in the glory of an rare win last Sunday against London.

THE match has been brought forward 24 hours to today (3.30pm).
