after being sounded out about a move to Celtic.

The 25-year-old winger impressed during a six-month loan spell at West Brom under Mogga last season including a goal on his debut in a 3-0 win over Sunderland.

The Baggies even agreed a pounds 2.5million fee to make the player's move from San Lorenzo San Lorenzo, town, S Honduras, on the Gulf of Fonseca. Menseguez's situation is similar to Mowbray's first Celtic signing Marc-Antoine Fortune who also impressed during his loan spell at the Hawthorns before the new Hoops boss took him to Scotland.

Fortune's admiration for Mowbray helped make that move possible and Menseguez also loved playing under the Englishman.

The Argie told MailSport: "In the next week I believe I will have a meeting with the directors of San Lorenzo and I want to be clear about my future.

"My desire is to play in Europe because I believe the experience at West Brom was positive.

"The club suffered relegation but personally it was a great experience for my career.

"My relationship with Tony Mowbray was perfect and if Celtic are interested in me than I am ready to accept the challenge but the final decision lies with San Lorenzo."

It's believed San Lorenzo want to sell Menseguez but would accept a one-season loan for the player who played seven games and scored once for the Baggies. Celtic boss Mowbray was yesterday also linked with a move for Fulham's left-sided winger Hameur BouazzaHameur Bouazza (Arabic: هامور بوعزة) (born 22 February 1985 in Evry, France) is a professional footballer, currently playing for Fulham as a striker. .

Celts' Old Firm rivals Rangers have been linked with Bouazza, as have Middlesbrough and Turkish side Trabzonspor.
