The woman and her child were walking to their vehicle when one boy produced a handgun and demanded the keys, officials said. She complied, and the gunman drove away in her vehicle. The gunman picked up the second teen, but crashed into a block wall at 37th Street East and Avenue R-8. Both boys took off on foot. A few minutes later, a deputy responding to the carjacking call spotted the teen-agers in a field north of Avenue S, west of 47th Street East.
