``It's a good opportunity to show myself,'' said Natasha. ``I'm learning to be an actor, so it's good experience.''

The performers have been rehearsing all summer for the show, and they took turns on stage polishing their acts earlier this week. The emphasis was more on fun than perfection as youngsters strutted their stuff.

``It's a good opportunity for the kids to show off. They're been working all summer long to put these acts together, and it's just a real good time for the kids.''

The show is being coordinated by Takiyah Tate, 19, of Simi Valley, who is working at the club during the summer break from her studies at Emory University in Atlanta.

``I love to sing and dance and act, so I thought it would be fun to help out with the show,'' said Tate, who will join three other staff members to perform a swing number.
