CARING Members Providing Nursing Informatics (NI) Certification Review.Two CARING members, Liberty Rovira, MN, RN-BC, CPHIMS CPHIMS Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems and Kathleen Hunter, PhD, RN-BC, conducted the NI certification review seminar for the American Nurses Credentialing Center The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) provides individuals and organizations throughout the nursing profession with the tools they need on their journey to excellence. The eight-week course covers the content in the current Test Content Outline (TCO (1) (Total Cost of Ownership) The cost of using a computer. It includes the cost of the hardware, software and upgrades as well as the cost of the inhouse staff and/or consultants that provide training and technical support. See ROI. ) for the NI certification examination. Subscribers listen by telephone to a weekly 90-minute live presentation by Liberty and Kathleen. This is the last ANCC-sponsored certification review for nursing informatics that uses this TCO. Beginning July 1, 2008, a new examination based on a new TCO will be offered. ANCC will sponsor the live telephone-based review seminars as well as self-scheduled recorded seminars incorporating the new content.
