VALENCIA - The Community Extension Office at College of the Canyons College of the Canyons is one of the fastest-growing community colleges in the state. According to the National Junior College Research Association, College of the Canyons consistently ranks in the top 50 community colleges in the nation.  is offering special classes to help with two important issues: financial planning Financial planning

Evaluating the investing and financing options available to a firm. Planning includes attempting to make optimal decisions, projecting the consequences of these decisions for the firm in the form of a financial plan, and then comparing future performance against
 for the future and issues in care-giving.

These programs will be held in May at the following dates and times.

--``Successful Aging: Three Techniques'' will teach three ways to plan a ``lifescape'' for both individuals and families, including legal planning, long-term planning and wealth transfer planning. The class will be offered three consecutive Tuesdays from 7:30 to 9 p.m. on May 6, 13 and 20. Cost is $45 for singles and $65 for couples plus a $3 nonrefundable processing fee. The class will be offered from 1 to 4 p.m. May 10. Cost is $40 plus a $10 materials fee and a $3 nonrefundable processing fee. The instructor, Eden Rosen, has a bachelor's degree in psychology and is an author, speaker and advocate.
