CAR-WINDOW SHOOTINGS DWINDLE : CHP PUTS BRAKE ON FREEWAY ATTACKS.Byline: Terri Hardy Daily News Staff Writer The spate of freeway sniper shootings slowed significantly over the weekend, with four window-shatterings reported in a 24-hour period, a California Highway Patrol officer said. ``There has been a drastic decrease this weekend,'' said CHP CHP Chapter CHP Combined Heat and Power CHP California Highway Patrol CHP Cumhuriyet Halk Partisi (Turkish: Republican People's Party) CHP Chemical Hygiene Plan (OSHA) CHP Community Health Plan Officer Pablo Torres of the southern headquarters division. ``The most shootings reported within a 24-hour period was 42.'' The men were stopped in a van described by witnesses as a vehicle that might be tied to as many as five freeway attacks, CHP officials have stated.
