CAR-TRUCK COLLISION KILLS VALENCIA MAN.

A Valencia man was killed Friday morning when the car he was riding in was hit broadside by a large van, Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  County sheriff's officials said.

Salvador Mendoza, 72, suffered massive head and chest injuries in the 10:45 a.m. collision on McBean Parkway and Arroyo Park Drive. He was taken to nearby Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
