CAR STUCK AS TIDE RUSHES IN.A COUPLE sparked an emergency yesterday after their 4x4 got stuck on a beach. Police spotted the Suzuki Vitara trapped in sand 200 metres from shore as the tide rushed in at Ardrossan, Ayrshire. The unnamed man, 38, and woman, 36, abandoned the off-roader at 9.10am as the water rose.
