About a dozen Edison workers spent Wednesday morning repairing the utility pole. Lost Hills sheriff's deputies directed traffic backing up during morning and evening rush hours at the five intersections along Kanan Road that lost their traffic signals until Wednesday evening.

Sheriff's deputies arrested Jeffrey Colantuono, a 30-year-old Newbury Park man, about 2 a.m. Wednesday on suspicion of drunk driving, said Traffic Detective Robert Evans There are several well-known people named Robert Evans, including:

Evans said Colantuono drove off the road, up an embankment and into the utility pole. No one was injured in·jure

Colantuono refused to take any tests to examine his blood-alcohol level, which resulted in an automatic 6-month suspension of his driving license, Evans said. Colantuono remained in custody Wednesday, Evans added.
