The schools benefiting from this program will be chosen by the Performing Artists for Literacy in Schools program run by the Screen Actors Guild Foundation. ``A letter was sent out to the members of our organization and 72 dealerships agreed to sign up,'' said Charlie Gill, manager of the Greater Los Angeles New Car Dealer Association. ``We won't know how successful it was yet but the program had a strong appeal with the dealers and they liked the idea of a link between their stores and local schools.''
