CAR CRASH KILLS STUDENT IN PALMDALE.

Byline: Bhavna Mistry Daily News Staff Writer

A Paraclete High School student was killed and an Antelope Valley College student critically injured Monday when their car lost control and spun into a van, officials said.

The body of the unidentified high school student was found 30 feet from his vehicle by authorities responding to the 1:30 p.m. crash at 30th Street West and Avenue N-4.

``He was found as we were loading the others into the ambulance,'' said Fire Capt. Tom Costello. ``There was nothing anyone could do. He was dead when he left the car.''The 20-year-old college student was transported to Antelope Valley Hospital in critical condition.

Officials said the two students were driving northbound on 30th Street West when their vehicle lost control and spun into a southbound van driven by a 35-year-old woman, Costello said. Neither she nor her two children were seriously injured.
