The force of the impact pushed the Saturn 30 feet before it flipped onto its side.

``It continued to push the car on its side all the way until they hit a palm tree,'' Edmonson said.

Eleven people on the Laidlaw bus, including the driver, were taken to area hospitals. None of their injuries was believed to be life-threatening.

A parked vehicle on Sherman Way was flipped onto its side when it was struck by the vehicles, and a second parked car was also damaged.

Tuyen Thi, 12, was standing on the corner of Fullbright and Sherman when the collision occurred.

``There was also this generous lady holding the hand of a woman on the bus saying, 'Please don't die,''' Thi said. ``I felt really sad.''
