CAPITAL BANK AND MIAMI HEAT SPONSOR "JUNIOR ALL STAR" ACCOUNTS FOR KIDS 13 AND UNDER

Burnie to appear at Capital Bank's Kendall branch
 for July 31st kick-off
MIAMI, July 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Capital Bank and the Miami Heat are teaming up to offer "Junior All Star" accounts to kids 13 and under, announced Tom Flood, executive vice president of retail banking at Capital Bank.
"The program is designed to encourage children to invest in their future," said Flood. "We think it is important for children to get into the habit of saving while they are young, so Capital Bank has decided to deposit $5 into the first 2,000 accounts to help get them started."
The campaign kick-off will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 31 at Capital's Kendall branch, 8900 S.W. 107th Ave. Burnie, the Miami Heat mascot, will be on hand from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to help kids open accounts and pass out Miami Heat "Junior All Star" t-shirts.
All children must be accompanied by an adult to open a savings account. And if Mom or Dad decide to open a checking account, they receive a complimentary first order of Miami Heat checks. This special kids day at Capital Bank also will feature free pizza, soda, contests, prizes, and an appearance by the Heat dancers.
Kids who don't make it to the Kendall branch on Saturday can open a "Junior All Star" account at any of the 28 convenient Capital Bank locations during August and September. Account holders will be part of a weekly Miami Heat drawing for free Heat game tickets and other prizes.
