Anderson still had 106 yards on 11 carries with two touchdowns (one receiving), but this week it was COC freshman running back Steve Smith with the dominant debut. After missing last week with an injured shoulder, Smith exploded for 134 yards on 21 carries to lead the Cougars offense. Quarterback Travis Winn, in the face of a steady pass rush throughout, was held to 155 yards, completing 14 of 27 passes, one touchdown and one interception. ``It was exciting,'' Smith said. ``This was the greatest game I've played in. It's a whole new level. We have a great team, a great line.'' Marauders quarterbacks Justin Holtfreter and Monte Gutkowski combined for three interceptions. Holtfreter completed 15 of 37 passes for 223 yards. Defenses controlled the game in the first half. The Marauders could have gone into the intermission facing more than the 6-0 deficit they did.
