CANYON WINS IT BY A FOOT CHAPMAN'S LAST-SECOND FIELD GOAL GIVES COWBOYS VICTORY CANYON 38, CRESPI 35.Byline: MATTHEW KREDELL Staff Writer Harry Welch's emotions come out when he plays against his alma mater. The Canyon football coach wants to win but doesn't want to see Crespi of Encino lose, especially in a game like this. Christopher Chapman kicked a 33-yard field goal with five seconds remaining to give Canyon a 38-35 victory over host Crespi, which had come back from a 15-point halftime deficit. ``It hurts to win this game,'' Welch told Crespi coach Jeremiah Ross as they shook hands after the game. ``You guys were spectacular.'' Welch then walked over to the Crespi sidelines and clapped his hands over his head in salute to the Celts The following pages provide lists of nations or people of Celtic origin, arranged by branch of Celtic ethnicity or language grouping: Goidelic Celts

But on fourth-and-16 from the Crespi 47 and 1:28 remaining, Longshore threw a perfect pass over the middle, hitting Mark Urbina right at the first-down marker. ``Coach is a gutsy guy,'' Longshore said. ``That's one of the biggest passes I've made. It kept the drive going.'' Canyon (3-2) got one more first down to set up Chapman's kick. The senior kicker had the imposing figure of 6-foot-7 Crespi tight end Joseph Fauria, cousin of NFL NFL abbr. I was hoping we would score a touchdown and I wouldn't have to go for it, but it came down to me and everything went well.'' Welch said his comments to Ross were not only because of his strong feelings toward Crespi but also for how hard the Celts (2-3) fought to get back in the game. Down 28-13 at halftime, Crespi scored the first three touchdowns of the second half, taking a 35-28 lead on a 1-yard run by Austin Shanks
