CANOGA PARK WOMAN TURNS 100.Byline: MARK KELLAM Valley News Writer Dee Woodward's secret to a long life? ``Some ancestor ANCESTOR, descents. The Canoga Park resident turned 100 on May 10, and her friends and family threw her a birthday party in the community room of the mobile home park where she lives. Dee has lived in the Valley for more than 75 years. When she was 22, she moved here with her first husband and their young son, Ed. While the marriage didn't last long, her love for Southern California Southern California, also colloquially known as SoCal, is the southern portion of the U.S. state of California. Centered on the cities of Los Angeles and San Diego, Southern California is home to nearly 24 million people and is the nation's second most populated region, remained strong. Her husband returned to the Midwest, but Woodward stayed, moved in with her sister and raised Ed. At age 25, she married Marvin Woodward, and they were together until his death in 1971. One of her most vivid memories of the Valley was a flood that hit in 1937. The Woodwards lived on the corner of Addison Street and Whitsett Avenue in North Hollywood.
