League champions are usually guaranteed a home game. That was until the committee decided that Fairfax, second in the Western League, should be seeded fourth. That forced the committee to bump one of the area teams to the ninth seed. Canoga Park and Kennedy filled the last two spots of the first eight before Fairfax was moved to fourth.

On a close vote, Canoga Park was seeded eighth and got the home-court advantage. The winner plays at No. 1-seeded Crenshaw cren·shaw   also cran·shaw
