CANOGA PARK COMPANY HAS ``WRITE'' STUFF.

1. To affect strongly, often favorably:
when I heard about Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa Antonio Ramon Villaraigosa (born Antonio (Tony) Ramon Villar, Jr. on January 23, 1953) is the mayor of Los Angeles, California. He is the first Latino mayor of Los Angeles since Cristobal Aguilar in 1872.  combining his last name with that of his wife.

How much more can a man show a woman his affection for her?

Most likely others had done it, but I can't say I had heard about it before.

Well, now I heard it again, except it's not the name itself, but a company named with the husband and wife's first names combined in it.

In his search to name his company, Yair Greenberg came up with the idea of combining the first two letters of his first name, with the first two letters of his wife's first name, Fay, naming the company Yafa.

What started as a small business back in August of 1978 is no longer small at all.

Yafa is the manufacturer and worldwide distributor of a very exclusive and elegant line of fountain pens.

But wait, before you're turned off by the word ``fountain pen,'' which sounds obsolete OBSOLETE. This term is applied to those laws which have lost their efficacy, without being repealed,

with computers taking over nowadays -- it's not obsolete at all.

Quite the contrary, Yafa has proven -- and continues to be -- a definite success.

Yafa is located right in the heart of Canoga Park. Glancing at the company's building from the outside, one would never know about the elegant and sophisticated work going on inside.

But not only that, what is most impressive is the amiable a·mi·a·ble

work atmosphere, between Yair and his employees.

Undoubtedly part of the company's success is that the workers think highly of their boss and therefore perform their jobs with pride.

Yair says that in this technological age in which computers little by little have taken over, he would like to see people in the States come back to the penmanship of years gone by.

``Once a person identifies with an object, whatever it may be, it will encourage the individual to continue using it,'' he says.

In this case, owning a fine pen will encourage in its owner the art of self-expression,'' he reaffirmed.

``Yafa has numerous styles and colors, which would suit practically anyone's taste, but mostly every product -- whether top of the line or any other of lower price -- is designed with art and elegance in mind.'' said Charles Flink, Yafa's account executive.

Among Yafa's exclusive pens is the Mega Ink Ball, a roller-ball pen, which can be filled with fountain pen ink by dipping directly into a bottle, which comes in different colors, or can be used with ink cartridges

.

Art and elegance are the perfect words that describe the Yafa company, and are, in Yair's words, ``A pleasure that no one should be deprived of, regardless of the price tag.''

Yafa was chosen by the motion picture academy to include one of its hottest products in their Oscar gift baskets A gift basket, or fruit basket is typically a gift that is delivered to the recipient at their home or workplace. Yafa takes great pride in introducing the Canoga Park company's extensive line of gift and promotional products, among them one called ``Poquito,'' a pen taking its name for its small size, with an executive look and portability in mind.
