CANDIDATES WILL MEET VOTERS FORUMS OFFER OPPORTUNITY TO ASK QUESTIONS.

ith a large number of candidates and issues on the March 7 ballot, local organizations will hold campaign forums to help voters prepare for election day.

The forums will give candidates for state Assembly, state Senate and Congress a chance to speak to voters and allow members of the community to meet and hear the candidates and ask questions about issues.

``These forums are a good way to educate people and encourage them to vote,'' said Marge Lauerman of the League of Women Voters League of Women Voters, voluntary public service organization of U.S. citizens. Organized in 1920 in Chicago as an outgrowth of the National American Woman Suffrage Association, it had as its original nucleus the leaders of the latter organization. . ``It also gives candidates without much money equal time to get their message out.''
