CANDIDATE TURNOUT STARTS FOR MURPHY'S COUNCIL SEAT.

BURBANK - Two people have formally declared their candidacy for the City Council seat vacated by Stacey Murphy, with three others likely to file by Friday's 5 p.m. deadline, officials said.

 and attorney Amy Lawrence have filed nominating papers, including the signatures of 50 people, to appear on the Jan. 24 ballot. Three others - Michael Dontanville, Bill Wiggins and Vahe Hovanessian - have taken out papers, but have not yet returned the documents to the City Clerk's Office.
