CANAL+TECHNOLOGIES Signs New Agreements With Operators In India and Japan.


PARIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 13, 1999--

CANAL+TECHNOLOGIES, the world's leading supplier of digital broadcasting Digital broadcasting is the practice of using digital data rather than analogue waveforms to carry broadcasts over television channels or assigned radio frequency bands. It is becoming increasingly popular for television usage (especially satellite television) but is having a  software solutions, will provide its conditional access system A conditional access system (CAS) is a system by which electronic transmission of digital media, especially satellite television signals through cable, is limited to subscribed clients. This program guide has been developed within the framework of a partnership with Pioneer that allows the CANAL+Group to extend the availability of its technology to the Japanese market and offer operators in this country a wealth of interactive applications based on MEDIAHIGHWAY.
