The company indicated in Calgary today that the 7-7-11-17 W4 well is currently producing at 215 barrels per day Barrels per day (abbreviated BPD, bbl/d, bpd, bd or b/d) is a measurement used to describe the amount of crude oil (measured in barrels) produced or consumed by an entity in one day. of 28 degree API crude oil through a restricted 16/64" inch choke and has a flowing productive capability in excess of 300 barrels per day. The company's original discovery well at Taber commenced production in the fourth quarter of 1994 at 175 barrels per day. Canadian 88 is commencing a 5 section 3-D seismic survey encompassing the two wells and will then proceed to full scale development and infill drilling of the new oil pool. Similar pools in the Taber area have been developed on as little as 5 acre spacing and have recoverable reserves up to 2 million barrels of oil. The discovery is located on Canadian 88's 100% working interest, 7200 contiguous acre Taber Exploration Block.
