So it should come as no shock that the company has launched its own line of water called Dasani Dasani (pronounced [dəˈsɑːni]) is a popular brand of bottled water from the Coca-Cola company, launched in 1999, after the success of Aquafina (produced by Coca-Cola-rival PepsiCo). , a name that means absolutely nothing for a drink with no taste. The move is an effort by Atlanta-based Coke to grab a chunk of the nation's $4 billion-plus market for bottled water, one of the fastest growing segments of the beverage industry.
