CAMPBELL PROMOTED TO PRESIDENT AND CEO OF VITRO

 SILVER SPRING, Md., Nov. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Barry G. Campbell has been named president and chief executive officer of Vitro Corporation, a newly acquired subsidiary of Tracor, Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS: TTRR). Concurrently, Tracor's board of directors elected Campbell a vice president and officer of Tracor.
 Vitro Corporation is a diversified systems and software engineering company with headquarters in Silver Spring. The company provides engineering services for major weapons, space, and intelligence programs for U.S. and international governments.
 Campbell, a longtime Vitro executive, most recently served as chief operating officer, and, before that, as an executive vice president during the past year.
 "Barry brings to the Tracor/Vitro team nearly 30 years of experience in engineering, program management and operations," said James B. Skaggs, Tracor president. "Working with Barry during the past several months in the acquisition process gives me the highest level of confidence in his ability to lead Vitro and continue its tradition of excellent performance."
 Campbell was senior vice president of Vitro's Systems Development and Integration Sector from 1988 to 1992. He also served two years as vice president of the Systems Integration Branch prior to becoming a senior vice president. From 1979 to 1986, Campbell served in department-level management positions for various Vitro programs.
 Before joining Vitro in 1970 as a systems engineer in the Fleet Ballistic Missile program, Campbell worked for the Naval Nuclear Power Department of the New York Shipbuilding Corporation. In addition, he spent several years as a project engineer and program manager with the Central Intelligence Agency.
 Campbell was graduated from Drexel University in 1964 with a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering. He serves as a director of the American Electronics Association and is chairman of the Potomac Council. In addition, he is a director of the American Defense Preparedness Association and the Professional Services Council.
 Vitro is the largest subsidiary of Tracor, a leading electronics and technical services company with annual sales of $670 million and more than 9,000 employees.
 Tracor is a major management and engineering services contractor, supporting the systems engineering, design, production, integration, operation, and maintenance of electronic systems for ships, aircraft, missiles, and complex computer systems. In addition, Tracor is a leader in the development and production of electronic countermeasures systems, full-scale drones, and electronic warfare simulators.
