  • Campbell Hall School in North Hollywood, California
 of Studio City basketball standout Conor Turley has decided to play at Brown University.

Turley's career at Brown will start after he returns from a two-year religious mission in 2006.

The 6-foot-7 forward helped lead the Vikings to a 32-0 record and the Div. IV state championship, with Campbell Hall beating St. Mary's of Berkeley in Sacramento to win the title.

Turley discovered Monday he was suffering from a loose bone fragment in his right foot.

Hart of Newhall and Saugus will play for the championship of the High Desert Classic softball tournament at 6 p.m. Saturday in a game that was rescheduled because of rain last weekend.

Thousand Oaks and Westlake were going to try to play the championship game of the Hart of tournament at 3 p.m. Thursday but had to postpone the game indefinitely after Tuesday's Marmonte League games were moved to Thursday because of rain. According to Westlake coach Lynn Baum, the Hart final likely will be played at the end of the season.
