CAMPAIGN BACKS NEW DISTRICT.

Byline: Daily News

CANYON COUNTRY - The Alliance for the Best Canyon Country School will kick off its petition drive to form a new K-12 district in the Santa Clarita Valley at 7 p.m. on Tuesday at Pinetree Elementary School, 29156 Lotusgarden Drive.

The Los Angeles County Office of Education recently gave the citizens committee permission to circulate a petition among voters. The committee must gather signatures from 25 percent of the registered voters in the boundary area of the proposed district to qualify for the ballot.
