It is located km ( mi) north-west of the city of Lloydminster and km ( mi) west of the Saskatchewan border. Marwayne lies at the intersection between Highway 45 and Highway 897. , facility in January, 1995. The continuous processing of at least 150 cubic metres per day of oilfield waste resulted from the use of a new proprietary system development known as the "Cambridge washer" which enhances the efficiency and reliability of the oil-sand separation system.
