A budget of $1.4 million has been allocated for exploration on Cambiex's properties in 1995. In addition, Cambior will fund the entire US $2.5 million to be incurred in exploration on the Yaou- Dorlin project in 1995, without diluting Cambiex's common equity interest in the property. To this end, a 10,000-meter drilling program is currently underway on the Yaou property.

In addition to the Yaou-Dorlin project, Cambiex will focus its South American efforts on the Abancay project in Peru and the Polo Sur in Chile. On the Abancay project, Cambiex will concentrate on two areas, namely the Minaspata and the Capacmarca, where alteration systems enriched in base and precious metals were identified by prospecting in 1994.

In the United States, a 1,500-meter drilling program will be conducted during the second half of this year on the Annie Laurie property, where high-grade intersections have been encountered on the Northeaster and Annie Laurie veins. Cambiex also plans to carry out work on two new gold properties, the Hamburg Ridge and the Rye properties, both located in Nevada.

In Canada, a program comprising over 3,000 meters of drilling is presently underway on the Dormex property, which encircles the Sleeping Giant Gold Mine. This drilling is aimed at testing various conducters as well as gold anomalies in the till. Exploration will also be conducted on the Akasaba, Montbray and Philibert projects over the coming months.

Pursuant to an agreement with Golden Star Resources Ltd. and Guyanor Ressources S.A., Cambior can earn a 50% interest in the Yaou and Dorlin properties by funding US $11 million in expenditures on the properties by June 30, 1998, including US $4.5 million by December 31, 1996. As part of a public offering of securities completed in August, 1994 by Cambiex, Cambior has transferred 30% of its interest in the project (or a 15% interest in the project) to Cambiex.

The Company wishes to advise its shareholders that the president of the Company, Pierre Boudreault, has resigned for personal reasons. Pierre Chenard, Vice Chairman of the Board, will act as interim president until the annual meeting on May 17, 1995. Mr. Boudreault will remain on the Board as a non- management director and has been nominated for re-election as such at the annual meeting.
