CAMARILLO FIRM WILL GO GLOBAL; POWER-ONE DEAL OPENS TIES TO CHINA.

 of China, Power-One Inc. on Friday said it would buy a Boston-based manufacturer for $31.75 million.

The deal for International Power Devices Inc. opens up a $1.6 billion international market for Camarillo-based Power-One, company officials said.

International Power owns a 49 percent stake in a distribution operation in Shenzhen, China. This arrangement has helped International Power capitalize on Cap´i`tal`ize on`

 growth opportunities of the Chinese communications marketplace and the same should be true for Power-One, officials said.

The deal gives Power-One, which makes a broad range of power supply products, about 2,000 employees worldwide.
