CAM'S CRAZY UNI CLUB EXPOSED IN TV DRAMA; Truth of David Cameron's days in drinking set.

DAVID Cameron's hell-raising antics at Oxford University are to be recreated on TV.

The Tory leader and London mayor Boris Johnson were both members of the elitist Bullingdon dining club.

A documentary is to show how the privileged young men got drunk, trashed venues, offered to pay for the damage and then passed out.

Cameron has always refused to talk about his exploits, saying only: "I did things when I was young that I should not have done and I regret."

But Johnson recalled a 1986 incident when a plant pot was thrown through a window and he was one of several arrested. He said: "We ended up crawling through hedges trying to escape police dogs.

"Once we were in the cells we became pathetic namby pambies."

The More 4 film, to be shown later this year, is set against the backdrop of the miners' strike and Margaret Thatcher's battles with the unions.

Director John Dower said: "We have talked to those who knew them at the time. Everyone has seen the famous Bullingdon Club picture but we go behind the scenes to see what it was really like."

Channel 4's deputy head of documentaries, Simon Dickson, said: "It will examine how Oxford helped shape the country's two most prominent Conservative politicians."

Christian Brassington, 26, will play the young Johnson but Cameron is yet to be cast. The club still exists but one ex-member said it was hard to find "the right kind of people" to join. Members must fork out pounds 3,000 for the uniform including mustard waistcoat and a blue bow tie.

Shadow Chancellor George Osborne is also an ex-Bullingdon boy.
