CALIFORNIA FEDERAL BANK HOLDS ANNUAL MEETING OF SHAREHOLDERS
LOS ANGELES, May 20 /PRNewswire/ -- California Federal Bank (NYSE: CAL) said its shareholders elected two directors and approved a proposed 1994 non-employee director stock option plan at the bank's annual meeting of shareholders today in Los Angeles.
The two directors, who will serve three-year terms, are Edward G. Harshfield, president and chief executive officer of California Federal Bank, and James J. Gaffney, chief operating officer of KDI Inc. and chairman of Hamburger Hamlet.
California Federal Bank, FSB, is one of the nation's largest publicly traded savings institutions. The bank provides retail banking services through 188 savings and lending offices in California, Florida, Nevada and Georgia.
