CALIFORNIA ENERGY APPOINTS O'SHEI AS VICE PRESIDENT
OMAHA, Neb., Aug. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- California Energy Company, Inc.

(AMEX: CE) today announced the appointment of Gen. Donald O'Shei as vice president effective Aug. 19, 1992. In his position, O'Shei will represent California Energy (CECI) on the management committee of the company's major partnerships, the Coso Projects; will have corporate responsibilities for legislative and regulatory affairs, public relations, and administration; and will play a key role in project development and international activities.
O'Shei is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point. He earned a master of science in civil engineering from Princeton University, a law degree from Georgetown University, and is a member of the bar in the District of Columbia.
During a 25 year career with the U.S. Army, O'Shei achieved the rank of Brigadier General and was responsible for managing a wide range of complex engineering and construction projects, worldwide. In civilian life, O'Shei served as chief executive officer of AWD Technologies, Inc., a hazardous waste treatment company.
O'Shei rejoins California Energy after a one year absence during which he pursued other business interests and acted as a consultant to the company following the relocation of CECI's headquarters from San Francisco to Omaha. O'Shei originally joined CECI in 1988 and was the key individual responsible for bringing the company's Coso Projects on line.
Richard Jaros, president of CECI stated, "With the return of Don O'Shei to California Energy and with Tom Mason recently assuming responsibility for project development, we now have in place the executive level management team to achieve our ambitious growth objectives."
