``I really struggled with it. The district has until mid-December to decide whether to schedule a March 13 election asking California City voters to approve the property tax. But Mojave residents fear a California City campus could result in the closure of Mojave High, which now draws about 65 percent to 70 percent of its 565 students from California City. A survey of residents in the spring of 1999 indicated the community of Mojave would not support taxes to build schools in California City, district officials said. |
