fans must feel as good as anyone about California's 10-5 win over Texas in Saturday's 47th annual Shrine All-Star Football Classic before 7,500 at Cerritos College Cerritos College is a public comprehensive community college founded in 1955 located in Norwalk, California. It was named after Rancho Los Cerritos, a ranch that served prominently in the region in the 19th century. .

all-purpose player Adam Geitner (four tackles, one sack, 22-yard reception), Claremont defensive back Audie Attar (two tackles, one fumble recovery) and San Dimas lineman Anthony Fletcher (two tackles, one sack).

Foster's third-quarter touchdown came on fourth-and-2. He was nearly stopped for no gain but spun away from Demond Benford (Killeen High), then scooted into the left corner of the end zone.

``That was the key play because of DeShaun Foster's heart. He just wouldn't be stopped,'' California coach Ed Burke

Foster knew a lot was at stake on his touchdown because the hard-hitting matchup lacked big plays.

``I just didn't want to lose,'' said Foster, whose 59 touchdowns for Tustin last season shattered the state record by 10. ``It was exciting because at first I just knew I needed a first down, then I really wanted to score.''

Notre Dame Notre Dame IPA: [nɔtʁ dam] is French for Our Lady, referring to the Virgin Mary. In the United States of America, Notre Dame  High's Justin Fargas, sharing the rushing load with Foster and USC An abbreviation for U.S. Code.  recruit Sultan McCullough of Muir, gained 24 yards on eight carries compared to Foster's 44 yards on 10 attempts and McCullough's 43 yards on six tries. Fargas also caught two passes for 24 yards.

``I'm just glad to be a part of it,'' said Fargas, who leaves next week for Michigan. ``I understand we have a lot of great backs, so there's no reason to be selfish. We had a triple-threat backfield, so how could we go wrong? That's why we ran the wing-T - it was a smart move by the coaches.''

Santa Margarita's Carson Palmer (7 of 12, 83 yards) led all passers.

``I wanted to throw more, but we knew we had good backs,'' said Palmer, bound for USC. ``We moved the ball well, but we didn't always execute.''

California shaped up in the second half after committing two turnovers and missing two field goals in the first.

But defense kept the win within California's sights. Thomas, a 6-foot-2, 235-pound All-American linebacker, was a big reason Texas managed just 146 total yards.

``I knew we were out here to be physical, so our defense was psyched up,'' Thomas said. ``This feels real good.''

Kicker Hayden Epstein (Torrey Pines), who will join Fargas at Michigan, hit a 43-yard field goal in the fourth quarter.

Texas scored on a safety when Long Beach Poly's Herman Ho-Ching was tackled in the end zone after running backward on a punt return.

Texas kicker Joey Biasatti had a 27-yard field goal.

Jermain Anderson, a Texas-bound linebacker, was named Texas MVP (Multimedia Video Processor) A high-speed DSP chip from Texas Instruments, introduced in 1994.
