LIW is the Army's single authoritative source for logistics data, providing near real-time supply, maintenance, transportation, distribution, in-transit visibility, and financial data to the Army's Single Army Logistics Enterprise (SALE). Mr. Thomas Edwards, Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff, G-4, Headquarters Department of the Army accepted the award on behalf of the Army's program leadership. Accepting for CALIBRE was Mr. Joe Goodbody, Vice President, Logistics Management.

The IDGA's Military Logistics Awards, which are held annually, are judged by a volunteer panel of logistics experts representing the Department of Defense, active duty military, industry partners, and academia. The criteria include major reduction in footprint to sustain the warfighter while improving readiness effectiveness; highly improved, measurable reliability of a crucial product or system; potential of applications to other military logistics programs; and, significant reduction in cycle time.
