CALIBRE, an employee-owned management and technology services company, is pleased to share a number of activities during the month of October with the local community. These events exemplify the spirit of employee-ownership culture that is so much a part of CALIBRE and pays tribute to our October theme of "Employee Owners Helping Others." On 7 October, CALIBRE employee owners will improve the environment for our neighbors by participating in an Adopt-a-Highway clean-up on the Springfield-Franconia Parkway. On October 11th from 8:30am to 2:00pm, CALIBRE, in partnership with the Springfield Hilton The Hilton Springfield is a skyscraper owned by Hilton Hotels. The building is the tallest skyscraper in Illinois outside of Chicago. It is the tallest skyscraper in Springfield, Illinois. It is the tallest Hilton Hotel in the state of Illinois as well. , will host a Red Cross Blood Drive at its Metro Park offices. Local community members and our business neighbors are encouraged to stop by our offices and take part in this event. During 11-21 October, many of CALIBRE's employee-owners will volunteer an hour of their time at Franconia Elementary School elementary school: see school. during its intersession in·ter·ses·sion n. The time between two academic sessions or semesters. in  ter·ses . Students attend school year-round and have three "intersessions" each year, or two week vacations. Many students require childcare and so come to school during the intersession. The school sponsors activities for them. CALIBRE employees have volunteered their time at every intersession since we first began sponsoring the school in 2002. CALIBRE is proud of its tradition of community service and looks forward to continuing these activities throughout October.
