CALARTS SHOWS TO LIGHT UP HOLIDAYS.

The creative forces at California Institute for the Arts have created a diverse offering of holiday performances, with several programs starting tonight. Following is a list of performances scheduled for this month. All events are free and open to the public unless otherwise indicated. For information, call the CalArts ticket office at (805) 253-7800.

The School of Music will present The New Millennium Players and Calarmonia Chamber Orchestra Noun 1. chamber orchestra - small orchestra; usually plays classical music

 performing music of Berio, Stravinsky and others at 8 p.m. today in the Roy O. Disney Roy Oliver Disney (June 24, 1893–December 20, 1971, aged 78) was, with his younger brother Walt Disney, co-founder of what is now The Walt Disney Company. Roy served as the company's chief executive officer (1929–1971)-though title name wasn't given until 1968-,  Music Hall.

The School of Theatre will present ``The American Bullfighter'' at 8 p.m. today through Friday with a 4 p.m. matinee mat·i·nee or mat·i·née

The Ensemble Theatre is located at 78 McDougall Street, Kirribilli, New South Wales, in an old boatshed at Careening Cove.

The School of Theatre faculty will present the classic ``Gift of the Magi'' at 8 p.m. today through Friday, with an additional performance at 6 p.m. Friday in the George and Mary Lou Boone Coffeehouse Theatre.

The School of Theatre will present ``An Unseen Energy Swallows Space,'' directed by Travis Preston, at 8 p.m. today, Thursday and Friday, with a matinee at noon Friday in the Ensemble Theatre II (E400). General admission $7, alumni $3 and students/senior citizens $2.

The School of Music will present the first of two new works written and improvised im·pro·vise

The CalArts Dance Ensemble, the faculty-based group that works with exceptional alumni and students, will perform at 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday in the Walt Disney Modular Theatre. The program will highlight the choreography choreography
