CALABASAS MAKES THE BIG TIME.


The world's largest Rolex Rolex SA is a Swiss manufacturer of mostly mechanical wristwatches and accessories renowned for their dependability, prestige, and cost (from a few thousand to more than one hundred thousand U.S. dollars). Rolex watches are considered status symbols by many.  starts marking the time toward the Nov. 12 opening of The Commons at Calabasas, the newest shopping center shopping center, a concentration of retail, service, and entertainment enterprises designed to serve the surrounding region. The modern shopping center differs from its antecedents—bazaars and marketplaces—in that the shops are usually amalgamated into  from Santa Monica-based developer Rick Caruso. The 700-pound, 6-foot-wide clock was installed Monday Monday: see week.  morning in the clock tower above Polacheck's Jewelers, one of 35 retailers, restaurants and other businesses that will open next week at the 200,000-square-foot, $40 million center.
