LANCASTER - JetHawks infielder Danny Richar's soft hands, powerful throwing arm, above-average speed and ability to play multiple positions have intrigued scouts since he debuted with Lancaster at age 18 in 2002.

But his power stroke this season has been a surprise.

Richar hit just eight homers in 1,209 career at-bats in three full years of pro ball going into 2005. His grand slam, which cleared the scoreboard in right field on the first pitch he saw off Storm reliever Ryan Klatt, was his 11th homer of the season.

The JetHawks trailed 9-6 going into their half of the sixth, when Richar's slam highlighted a five-run inning.
