 bad High Desert Mavericks The High Desert Mavericks are a minor league baseball team in Adelanto, California, USA. Their Major League parent club is the Seattle Mariners. They are a "high-A" class team in the California League, and had been a farm team of the Kansas City Royals since 2005 before the switch.  are on course to pull off one of the most remarkable turnarounds in recent minor-league baseball history.

The JetHawks did not put up much resistance Friday. They committed a season-high five errors in a 7-5 loss in front of 3,667 at Clear Channel Stadium.

First-place High Desert (20-14), which had the worst record in professional baseball in 2003 and the second worst last season, won for the seventh time in nine games.

The JetHawks (17-17) lost for the third time in four games.
