CAI Wireless Responds to Sharp Increase in Volume.


ALBANY, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 14, 1997--CAI Wireless Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq NM: CAWS) responded today to the increased volume in its stock by announcing that it knew of no reason for the sharply increased volume or the movement of the stock price during trading today. The Company did indicate that the Federal Communications Commission's issuance of a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking A notice of proposed rulemaking or NPRM is issued by law when a regulatory agency of the United States Federal Government wishes to add, remove, or change a rule (or regulation) as part of the rulemaking process.
