CAF set date for Nations Cup draw.


CAIRO: The African Cup of Nations draw will be held on Nov. 20 in Angola's capital Luanda, the Confederation of African Football (CAF CAF - constant applicative form ) announced on Tuesday.

"The ceremony, which will be witnessed by CAF President Issa Hayatou Issa Hayatou is the current president of the Confederation of African Football (CAF). He was born on 9 August 1946 in Cameroon and is married with four children. Sports career
 and CAF executive committee members, will also have in attendance the 16 finalists and teams representatives , expected to emerge from the on going qualifiers," the African governing body Noun 1. governing body - the persons (or committees or departments etc.) who make up a body for the purpose of administering something; "he claims that the present administration is corrupt"; "the governance of an association is responsible to its members"; "he  said in a statement.

Egypt, who holds the record for most Nations Cup triumphs with six titles, ensured their progress to the tournament with one match to spare in the qualifiers.

The Pharaohs, winners of the 2006 and 2008 editions, will be top seeds in the draw.

Algeria, Gabon, Cameroon, Tunisia, Nigeria, Ghana, Mali, Benin, Ivory Coast Ivory Coast: see Côte d'Ivoire.  and Burkina Faso Burkina Faso (burkē`nə fä`sō), republic (2005 est. pop. 13,925,000), 105,869 sq mi (274,200 sq km), W Africa. It borders on Mali in the west and north, on Niger in the northeast, on Benin in the southeast, and on Togo, Ghana, and  have also qualified for the biennial tournament.

The remaining four participants will be determined later this month when the last round of the qualifiers takes place.
