Hyundai showed off a prototype for the likely replacement of its Sonata midsize sedan. Called the Avatar, the car is more bold and luxurious than typical mid-size sedans, the Korean automaker said. The Sonata's replacement will be out in the fall. But Hyundai isn't saying whether the new vehicle will be called Avatar, Sonata or have some other name. The Sonata sold 22,000 last year and was Hyundai's third-best selling vehicle. Isuzu unveiled the hard-top version of its mini-sport-utility vehicle called the Amigo. The SUV, which has removable sun roofs in the front and back, will be in showrooms in the fall.
