CACI AWARDED $163.5 MILLION CONTRACT TO PROVIDE IT SUPPORT TO SPAWAR.

Company to Test and Integrate Tactical Command Support Software for U.S. Fleet

CACI International Inc (NASDAQ:CACI) announced recently that it has been awarded a $163.5 million, single-award contract to provide information technology support to the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) Systems Center in Norfolk, Virginia (SSC Norfolk). CACI's primary role under the five-year contract, which has one base year and four option years, is to implement Naval Tactical Command Support System (NTCSS) software developed by SSC Norfolk, aboard Naval vessels and shore activities around the world. The award substantially increases the scope and value of CACI's software and systems integration support with the Navy.

SPAWAR Systems Center Norfolk is responsible for designing, developing, and integrating NTCSS software systems for all Naval operations. These NTCSS systems include applications that help manage supply, maintenance, personnel, finances, medical records, travel orders, and food service. Automating these functions provides "quality of life" benefits that improve sailor productivity. Moreover, maintaining accurate records of such activities as supply, maintenance, and travel orders helps ensure that Naval operations are appropriately equipped, staffed, and ready at all times.

CACI will work directly with SSC Norfolk, from locations in Norfolk and detachments in San Diego, Italy, and Japan, to implement these NTCSS systems. This includes testing the systems to ensure they fulfill user requirements, and certifying them as meeting Navy and DoD standards. CACI will also install NTCSS systems at ship and shore locations and integrate them with other systems when required. In addition, the company will train users in system management, administration, and use.

CACI's track record of SSC Norfolk support gives it strong credentials as the contractor of choice for NTCSS. This is CACI's second consecutive award as prime contractor providing these services to SSC Norfolk, and continues the company's record as the only prime contractor for NTCSS implementations since the first award in 1998. Furthermore, CACI has been supporting SSC Norfolk under a variety of contracts since 1981. Since that time, the company has been involved in every aspect of SSC Norfolk's mission, providing software development, enterprise resource planning, network engineering, software testing and certification, and training.
