The City Council has agreed to a two-year contract with Comcast Cablevision that, beginning May 15, increases the monthly basic cable television fee by $2.21.

Ending a months-long dispute with the cable company, the council voted Monday night to allow a monthly basic service increase from $21.90 to $24.11, said Joe Hreha, deputy director of Simi's environmental services The various combinations of scientific, technical, and advisory activities (including modification processes, i.e., the influence of manmade and natural factors) required to acquire, produce, and supply information on the past, present, and future states of space, atmospheric,  department.

Council member Sandi Webb said she's pleased that a contract finally has been signed.

``This has taken a humongous amount of staff time,'' Webb said. ``It was as good a deal as we could hammer out. This was a fair and equitable equitable adj. 1) just, based on fairness and not legal technicalities. 2) refers to positive remedies (orders to do something, not money damages) employed by the courts to solve disputes or give relief. Higher rates for individual subscribers were based on a number of factors, including inflation, added programming costs and costs for more channels, said Linda Hossinger, Comcast's general manager for Orange County and Simi Valley Simi Valley (sē`mē, sĭm`ē), city (1990 pop. 100,217), Ventura co., SW Calif. in an oil, fruit, and farm region; laid out 1887, inc. 1969. .

Under the contract, subscribing seniors who are 65 or older will receive a $3 discount.

Some other subscribers will receive a discount on their future bills, Webb said. Those who paid roughly $12 a month for The Disney Channel Editing of this page by unregistered or newly registered users is currently disabled due to vandalism.  while others received the station free during a promotional period will either be reimbursed or have the cost subtracted from their regular bill.

``The price is going up,'' Webb said, ``but there's a lot of people getting rebates, so they won't notice an increase for a few months.''

In addition to covering programming fees and costs for more channels, the higher fees will help pay for upgrading old equipment.
