CABLE CAR VICTIM STILL IN HOSPITAL.Byline: Staff and Wire Services An 80-year-old woman whose husband died when two cars collided on the Angels Flight funicular railway remained hospitalized Saturday at Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850. Lola Praport of Old Bridge, N.J., suffered head and back injuries in the crash Thursday when cable came off a spool and one rail car careened backward into the second car. Praport and her husband, Leon, 83, a Holocaust survivor, were visiting Los Angeles to celebrate their 54th wedding anniversary. He suffered severe head and back injuries in the crash and died Thursday night.
