Mainframe Software Price Restructuring

For the first time in CA's history, license and maintenance prices for some of the company's most popular mainframe products -- CA-1, CA-7, CA-11, CA-Scheduler and CA-Librarian -- have been reduced. Price reductions, which range from 1 to 5 percent, are reflective of CA's ability to pass along cost savings to its clients. Although pricing for some mainframe products will increase, most product prices will remain the same.

"CA enjoys certain economies of scale for those mainframe software products with the broadest user base," Kumar said. "Whenever possible, we are happy to share such cost savings with the users of those systems."
