CA Donates 225,000 Software Licenses to Secure Every PC at Boys & Girls Clubs Nationwide.

: CA) today announced that it has donated 225,000 licenses of its newly-released line of 2008 Anti-Virus, Anti-Spyware and Anti-Spam software to Boys & Girls Clubs Girls Club is a 2002 American television series created by David E. ), to protect the infrastructure of Clubs' networks nationwide. The donation furthers its three-year, $4.6 million National Information Technology Security Program with the organization.

CA's software donation will serve the organization's network of more than 4,000 Clubs across the country. The software will help protect approximately 75,000 PCs used by the BGCA staff and Club members against viruses, worms, Trojan horses It may never be fully completed or, depending on its its nature, it may be that it can never be completed. However, new and revised entries in the list are always welcome.

"CA's donation will help keep our PCs running smoothly and protected against Internet threats, so that our staff can work safely and efficiently and the children can do homework, play games or surf the Web," said Bill Regehr, senior vice president of Information Technology for Boys & Girls Clubs of America. "We greatly appreciate this investment in the future of our communities and our country."

To mark the donation, CA and BGCA hosted a kick-off event at the Oyster Bay Oyster Bay, uninc. area (1990 pop. 6,687) of the Town of Oyster Bay, Nassau co., SE N.Y., on N Long Island, on Long Island Sound; settled 1653.
