Integration Improves Productivity of Database Designers, Extends CA Support for Microsoft Platforms

ISLANDIA, N.Y., Nov. 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- CA today announced it will integrate its AllFusion ERwin Data Modeler (ERwin DM) with Microsoft Corp.'s new Visual Studio Team Edition for Database Professionals. This integration will enable database professionals to jump-start creation of managed objects in the new Microsoft application by using existing database designs.

It centers on an integrated development environment which lets programmers create standalone applications, web sites, web applications, and web services that run on any platforms  2005 Team Edition for Database Professionals. The integration will also enable Visual Studio users to re-use data models across their IT environments. Visual Studio Team Edition for Database Professionals delivers a database development product designed to manage database change, improve software quality through database testing and bring the benefits of Visual Studio Team System and life cycle development to the database professional.

The integration extends CA's AllFusion ERwin DM support for Microsoft platforms, which also includes Microsoft SQL Server A relational DBMS from Microsoft that is a major component of the Windows Server System. It is Microsoft's high-end client/server database and is closely integrated with Microsoft Visual Studio and the Microsoft Office System.  2005/2000. Other CA products that support Visual Studio 2005 and SQL Server An earlier relational DBMS from Sybase and from Microsoft. Sybase introduced SQL Server in 1988 for various Unix versions. In that same year, with help from IBM, Sybase created an OS/2 version that Microsoft licensed and branded as Microsoft SQL Server.  2005 include Harvest Change Manager, CleverPath Aion Business Rules Expert Cleverpath AION Business Rules Expert (formerly Platinum AIONDS, Trinsic AIONDS, and originally Aion) is an expert system and Business rules engine created around 1986.
